Jamii

Terms of use for Jamii

Last updated October 20, 2026

This is an English translation of the Danish terms. If the two differ, the Danish version applies.

In short

1. Who is behind Jamii

Jamii is developed and run by Jamii Nabolag ApS - part of Well Curated Wellness ApS, CVR no. 41952474. Write to support@jamii.dk if you have questions about these terms or want to reach us about something on the map.

2. What Jamii is

Jamii is a map of what's happening in your neighborhood: events, communities and local offers. The app is free, contains no ads, and you don't need an account to look around.

Jamii covers a limited area at a time - we're starting in Copenhagen and expanding from there. If the place of your happening is outside the coverage, the happening can't be created yet; instead, you can let us know that you would like Jamii where you live.

By using Jamii, you accept these terms. If you don't agree with them, you can't use the service.

3. Your account

You only need to sign in if you want to put something on the map yourself. That happens with Sign in with Apple or with your email, and how we handle the information is described in the privacy policy.

To create an account, you must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to you using Jamii to post happenings. There is no age limit for viewing the map beyond the age rating the app has on the App Store.

You are responsible for what is posted from your account. Don't share it with others.

4. What you may post

A happening on Jamii must be something that actually takes place, at a specific place, at a specific time, and that neighbors can show up to or use. That is the whole idea of the map.

When you post something, you vouch:

Pure ads without a concrete happening don't belong on Jamii. The same goes for happenings that aren't local.

Jamii is for everyone in the neighborhood. A happening may well be aimed at a particular group - a women's night, a seniors' club, a religious gathering or a community for a minority belongs right on the map, and that is not discrimination. The line is drawn at the purpose: a happening whose very point is to keep others out, put them down or harass them because of who they are doesn't belong here.

5. What never belongs on the map

We have zero tolerance for offensive content and for users who behave abusively. You may not post or send anything that:

You also may not try to get around technical limits in Jamii, systematically extract content from the service, or put unnecessary load on it.

6. How we keep the map clean

We actively moderate Jamii, and this is how it works:

A blocked account can still see the map and delete its own happenings: the right to remove your own data doesn't go away because you behaved badly. A permanent block follows the sign-in identity the account was created with.

If you think a decision is wrong, write to support@jamii.dk, and we'll take another look.

7. Happenings Jamii has added itself

To make the map lively from day one, we also add happenings from local places and associations based on their own published information. Those happenings are marked "Added by Jamii".

If it's your place or your association, and you want something fixed, want to take over the happenings yourself or have them removed, write to support@jamii.dk - and we'll sort it out quickly.

8. Your content is yours

You keep the rights to what you post. So that we can show it, you give us permission to use your happening in Jamii - that is, to show it in the app, on jamii.dk and on the shareable page each happening has, including the photo that comes along when the link is shared. The permission is free of charge and applies as long as the happening is there.

If you delete a happening or your account, we stop showing it. If someone has shared a link in the meantime, it may take a while before it disappears from other people's caches - we have no control over that.

9. Jamii doesn't organize anything itself

Jamii shows what others invite you to. We are not behind the happenings, don't sell tickets to them, and don't check that they take place or that an offer still applies. The information comes from the organizer or from the place's own published information.

If something matters to you - price, time, whether there's room - check with the organizer before you go.

10. Availability

Jamii is provided as is. We do our best, but can't guarantee that the service is always available or free of errors, and we may change or close parts of it. If it's a significant change, we'll let you know in reasonable time if possible.

11. Liability

We are not responsible for content that other users or places post, or for what happens at a happening you find through Jamii. Our liability is limited to what follows from the mandatory rules of Danish law. If you are a consumer, these terms don't limit the rights you have under consumer law.

12. Termination

You can stop using Jamii at any time and delete your account in the app under Profile ▸ Delete account. Your happenings and photos are deleted with it. We can close an account that breaks these terms, see section 6.

13. The app and the App Store

The app itself is downloaded from the App Store, and Apple's standard license terms for app software apply to the program. These terms apply to the Jamii service and the content on the map. Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for Jamii or for the content in the app.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by Danish law, and disputes are settled by the Danish courts. If you are a consumer, you can however always bring a case where you live, if the law gives you that right.

15. Changes

If we change these terms, we publish the new version here with a new date. If you keep using Jamii after a change, the new terms apply.
