Frequently asked questions

What is Jamii?

Jamii is an app that brings events, gatherings and offers from your area together on one map. We're starting in Copenhagen and expanding from there.

Does it cost anything?

No, Jamii is free and without ads.

Do I need an account?

Not to look around - the map and all happenings are open to everyone. You only need to sign in (with Apple or your email) if you want to create a happening yourself.

How do I create a happening?

Open the Profile tab in the app and tap "Create happening". That opens My Jamii on the web, where you're already signed in - fill in title, time and place, and send it off. We read through your first happenings before they go on the map, usually within a day.

You can also go straight to jamiiapp.com/opret and sign in with Apple or your email. Then you don't need the app.

How do I find something specific?

Use the time card at the bottom of the map. Tap a day in the strip, or drag across several. Below the strip, you can filter by price, who it's for, indoors or outdoors, vibe and category - and by language and accessibility. If you only want to see what you can make it to, tap "How long?" and set your time and how you get around.

Jamii isn't where I live - is it coming?

Right now Jamii covers Copenhagen and the surrounding area, from Kongens Lyngby to Dragør. If you move the map outside it, you can say that Jamii is missing there. That counts when we choose where to open next. If you want to hear when we do, enter your email, and you'll get one email.

My place or my association shows up on Jamii - why?

Jamii also shows publicly available happenings from local places, so the map is lively from day one. If a happening is marked "Added by Jamii", it comes from the place's own published information. If it's yours, tap "Added by Jamii" at the bottom of the happening and choose "Fix or take over this happening", or write to us. We're happy to fix it, remove it, or hand it over to you, so you can keep it up to date yourself.

How do I delete my account and my data?

You delete your Jamii account in the app: tap Delete account on the Profile tab and confirm. The account is deleted right away. If you don't have the app, you can write to support@jamii.dk from the email address you signed up with, and we'll delete it for you.

Along with the account, we delete your sign-in (Apple, Google or email), your profile, your happenings with all their dates and photos, and the log of emails about your happenings. If you asked for a note about a new area while signed in, that address is deleted too.

Reports you have sent about a happening stay, without any link to you and without your email. Other addresses for a note, such as the one about Android, aren't linked to your account. They are deleted once we have written, and no later than two years after you asked. If the account was blocked, we keep a hash of the sign-in identity, so the block also applies to a new account. The anonymous usage statistics and requests for new areas aren't linked to you and stay. Technical server logs (such as IP addresses) are only kept briefly. Read more in our privacy policy.
